SHAPE+ launches new Open Call 2024 for European artists

Participating artists are allowed to take part in renowned festivals and venues throughout Europe and beyond. These events serve not only as a platform for performances, but also as opportunities for networking and career development.

The festivals and venues select the artists from a combination of open calls and curatorial selection. Each year, a certain number of artists are supported and given the chance to realize their full creative potential.

SHAPE+ attaches great importance to environmental sustainability. The selected artists are expected to choose environmentally friendly travel options whenever possible. In addition, they are expected to participate in joint residencies, one-off performances and presentations as well as promotional and educational events.

SHAPE+ continues to grow: Two new members expand the network

In its third year of existence, the SHAPE+ platform is expanding its network with two new members and now counts a total of 17 festivals and venues among its members. With the support of the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia, the Swiss festival "Full of Lava" has joined the platform. This expansion means that artists from Switzerland are now also eligible to participate in the third year of SHAPE+.
